We would like to thank everyone who contributed their time, stories, and care to this project. We are especially grateful to all members of the Poverty Truth Community – past and present – who shared their stories, images, and creative work.

Elaine Downie, Poverty Truth Community Co-ordinator, and the team of PTC community researchers, Caroline Mockford, Carole Turner and Marie Therese, have been the driving force for making this archive a reality

The archive development was part of a community-university partnership between the Poverty Truth Community and Dr Emma Davidson and Helen Berry at the Binks Hub, University of Edinburgh.

We are indebted to Jean McEwan, visual artist, whose creativity has helped ensure this archive is beautiful as well as functional.

This archive has been built using the Omeka platform, an open-source digital collections and exhibition tool that supports community archiving and storytelling. We would like to thank Ed MacKenzie from the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) and colleagues who supported the development of the digital archive, metadata design, and digital infrastructure. Thanks also to Nel Coleman and other University of Edinburgh Library colleagues for their expert guidance on building a digital archive.

This archive reflects an evolving community. Many people have contributed to the work of the Poverty Truth Community over its years of work, including those who participated in Commissions, campaigns, conversations, mentoring projects, and creative activities. Their contributions remain part of the story this archive seeks to preserve.

This project has been generously supported by funding from the Binks Hub. Without this support, the project would not have been possible.
