Story two

So something stands out for me in the PTC and that was the mutual mentoring that we did some time in 2022 starting from September 2022 to February 2023.

I was paired with a wonderful lady called Eileen, she works with the Parliament in Edinburgh. You know, it was a wonderful experience, you know. During sessions we talk about everything, we checked you know ourselves, what is happening around us, our family. It was just awesome, you know. 

So for those six months we didn’t miss a session. You know, we looked forward to catching up, to talk, she visited,  and I visited Edinburgh. It was so good. In fact, I had to tell members of the community where we had our lunch at somewhere, at the Souls Sisters Restaurant at the Gallowgate, somewhere there, that you know I had gained a sister because I don't have a family here. So today Eileen is my sister to me, because of PTC. 

So it is not opportunity for me to say thank you for this platform, a big thank you to PTC, you know for supporting me especially when we, I was barely new here then, when I became part of this meeting, and um, I felt so loved, I felt so welcomed. You know it helped me to integrate to this community, and um, I’m grateful for it. Thank you PTC for all you do for people like us. I wish you well.
