Collage story: Patrick

One of the prompts was to create this collage around an event or particular occasion. I chose things that reminded me of the report of the second Commission which was quite a big event that we ran in Woodside Halls in Maryhill in 2014. It was called ‘Turning up the Volume on Poverty’. It was a great event to be part of and there was so much preparation involved. We came together as a mixed group of people. It was just a great exploration of who we were and we all learnt a lot from it.
I used the map to create a sense of - what is the space between us? And this is a little bit about a window into other people’s lives. A perspective I wouldn’t have had otherwise. The overall thing is about our lives shouting out what happens in people’s lives and acknowledging our own.
