Hello, I was involved with the Poverty Truth Community and specifically worked on stories of hope. The people who led the work on the stories of hope were asylum seekers with heart-rending and enormous struggles both in terms of what they'd experienced in their home countries, and sadly in navigating the asylum system in the UK.

Despite this they wanted to convey the hope and empower others with their stories. The stories of hope very much embodied the phrase that is key to all the work with the Poverty Truth Community, ‘Nothing about us, without us, is for us’. I felt so lucky and privileged to meet and work with the asylum seekers we worked with, and really hope that others have found their stories useful.
